- What do I need to bring?
- Photo identification, and your bank details for the EFT. Recording ID against every transaction is a legal requirement on our side, not paperwork for its own sake.ID and selling scrap in NSW
- How do you pay?
- By EFT, on the spot, before you leave the site. We do not pay cash for scrap metal — that has been prohibited under the Scrap Metal Industry Act 2016, and every licensed yard in NSW works the same way. Bring your bank details. Why there is no cash

- At 8 Noonan Rd, Ingleburn NSW 2565, in South West Sydney.Map and directions
- When are you open?
- Monday to Friday 7am to 4:30pm, Saturday 7am to 12:30pm.Contact the yard

- Both. Householders, tradies and businesses all sell to us the same way: photo ID, weighed in front of you, paid by EFT.How selling scrap works
- Is my metal weighed in front of me?
- Yes. Everything goes over our own scales while you watch. Nothing is assessed out of sight.Selling your scrap
- What if part of my load does not meet a grade?
- It is graded as what it actually is, and we tell you why. You are free to take it away instead. How selling scrap works
- Can I send a photo first?
- Yes. WhatsApp us a photo and roughly how much you have, and we will tell you the grade and today’s rate.WhatsApp or call the yard
- Is there a minimum weight?
- There is a minimum for pickups and for bin drops, because the truck has to be worth sending. There is no minimum to drive into the yard — call and we will tell you straight away whether your load is worth a collection or a trip in.Pickups, bins and minimums
- Do you buy cars?
- No, we no longer buy whole cars or trucks. We do buy the metal that comes out of them: batteries, radiators, alternators, wiring looms and alloy wheels.Every grade we buy
- Do you sell scrap metal?
- Only by the container load, to mills, smelters and exporters. We do not sell to individuals.Container export supply
What we take

- Copper, brass, aluminium, stainless steel, ferrous and HMS 1 & 2, insulated cable and wiring harness, lead, batteries, radiators, electric motors, starter motors, alternators and compressors — thirty graded categories in all.Every grade we buy
- Do you take copper wire with the plastic on?
- Yes, as insulated copper wire, graded by how much of its weight is copper.Insulated wire grades explained
- Do you take car batteries?
- Yes: lead-acid batteries from cars, trucks, forklifts, boats and solar systems, carried upright.Scrap car batteries
- Do you take lithium batteries?
- No. Lithium-ion batteries are a fire risk in a scrap stream. Community Recycling Centres and many battery retailers take them.Disposing of batteries
- Do you take air conditioners?

- Do you take fridges and washing machines?

- Yes, as light iron, with whitegoods, sheet and shelving.Light iron and whitegoods
- Do you take gas bottles or sealed drums?
- No. Sealed vessels are not accepted. Community Recycling Centres take household gas bottles.Where other items go
- Do you take mixed or dirty loads?
- Yes, but grade is what sets the price. Clean, separated metal is worth considerably more than a mixed bin — contamination such as iron in brass turnings, or aluminium in a radiator load, moves it down a grade. Sort what you reasonably can and we will do the rest.Sorting your metal
Preparing your metal
- Do I need to strip copper wire?
- Thick cable, usually yes: stripped, it is bright copper. Thin cable is rarely worth the time.Getting copper out of wire
- How do I tell what metal I have?
- Start with a magnet. If it sticks, it is steel or iron. If not, colour and weight tell aluminium, copper, brass, lead and stainless apart.Identifying scrap metal
- Can I mix metals in one bag?
- Better not. A mixed bag is graded on what is actually in it, so the better metal in it is not paid at its own rate.Getting the better grade
- Should I cut the brass fittings off copper pipe?
- Yes. Clean pipe goes as No. 1 copper, and the brass is paid as brass.Scrap copper pipe
- Do I need to take the tyres off alloy wheels?
- Yes, and the balance weights.Scrap alloy wheels
- Do I need to drain radiators and motors?
- Yes. Drain the coolant from radiators and the oil from oil-filled motors and compressors.Motors, radiators and AC units
- Should I take motors apart for the copper?
- Usually not. We buy them whole and recover the copper mechanically.Copper in electric motors
- How should I carry car batteries?
- Upright, standing in a plastic tub or crate in case of leaks.Carrying batteries safely
Prices and rates
- How do I get today’s rate?
- Call or WhatsApp us with a photo and roughly how much you have, and we will tell you the grade and today’s rate.Contact the yard
- Why does the rate change?
- Scrap rates follow the world metal markets and the Australian dollar, so they move through the week. The price guide
- Is the price guide what I will be paid?
- It is an indicative guide, not a quote. What we pay turns on the grade, how clean the load is and how much of it there is.The price guide
- What scrap metal is worth the most?
- Copper, with bright stripped wire at the top. Brass comes next, and ordinary steel is at the bottom. What is worth the most
- How can I get a better grade?
- Sort it, take off steel screws, plastic and fittings, and drain it. Clean, sorted metal grades higher.Getting the better grade
- Will you beat another quote?
- We will beat any other genuine quote.Selling your scrap
