Scrap Motors, Radiators and AC Units in Sydney

Motors, radiators and air conditioners are bought for the metal inside them: the copper windings in a motor, the copper, brass or aluminium in a radiator, and the copper coil in an air conditioner. None of them needs taking apart. We buy them whole, each in its own grade.

What they do need is the right preparation: oil and coolant drained, refrigerant recovered by a licensed technician, and heavy steel brackets and mounts taken off.

Find your grade

  • Pump, fan, tool and appliance motors

Whole, with attached pumps and gearboxes off if they come off easily.

  • Big industrial motors and generators

Anything too heavy to lift by hand. Talk to us about a pickup.

  • Fridge and AC compressors

    Degassed and drained of oil.

  • Starter motors and alternators

Whole, with the steel mounting brackets off.

  • Copper core with brass tanks

Older car, truck, plant and generator radiators.

  • Copper tube through aluminium fins

    AC coils and condensers.

  • All-aluminium car radiators

Modern radiators, with the plastic end tanks off.

  • Air conditioners

Window, split and ducted units, degassed only.

Gas, oil and coolant come out first

Anything that held refrigerant, such as air conditioners and fridge or AC compressors, must be degassed by a licensed technician before it reaches the yard. We cannot accept units still holding gas, and we cannot degas them for you.

Drain oil-filled motors and compressors, and drain the coolant from radiators. A wet load is a spill on the road and on the yard floor.

Steel that unbolts should come off: pump heads and gearboxes from motors, mounting brackets from alternators, steel side frames from radiators.

Common questions

How much do you pay for scrap motors and radiators?
Each is its own grade, priced on the metal inside it. Copper-brass radiators grade highest of the radiators, and a motor with big windings is worth more per kilo than a small one. Call or WhatsApp for today’s rate.
Which kind of radiator do I have?
Look at the core and the tanks. A copper core with brass tanks is copper-brass. Copper tubes through aluminium fins is AL/CU. An all-aluminium core, usually with plastic tanks, is an aluminium radiator.
Do you take whole air conditioners?
Yes, once degassed: window, split and ducted units. Bring the degassing certificate if you have one.
Can you collect a heavy motor?
Usually, yes. Call before you try to move a large industrial motor, as a pickup with the right equipment is often easier.
