About Compressor
Compressors from fridges, freezers and air conditioning units are bought as a sealed grade, priced on the copper winding and steel shell.
Every compressor must be degassed by a licensed technician before it comes in, for the same reason whole AC units must be: releasing refrigerant is an offence, and a gas-charged unit cannot be processed. Oil should be drained as well.
Air compressors from workshops are a different item — those are usually motor plus steel tank, and are graded as electric motors and steel separately.
